Course and Project Summary
Throughout this class we explored different design mediums while navigating the text, Chronicle X: by Nia Witherspoon. The students expressed their visions through multidimensional mediums such as, traditional rendering, digital collaging, and digital rendering.

Design Concept: To imagine a modernize version of a afrofurturism Harlem, NY. 

Course and Project Summary
Throughout this class students explored various multi-media techniques, some of them include 3D-collaging, digital collaging, and the creation of 3D-shadow boxes.

Introduction to Costumes
From Street to Chic
Instructor: Dominique Fawn Hill
Institution: California State University, Los Angeles

Student Artist: Diana Herrera
Design Concept: To merge a modern day celebrity-hipster with the fabrication of the 17th century. 
Course and Project Summary
During this class students learned about the fundamentals of costume design. For one of the assignments "From Street to Chic", students had to research  a celebrity and create a "comeback look".

Introduction to Costumes and Makeup

Student Artist: Paola Angari
Design Concept: To create a theoretical transversal outfit for the celebrity client, Celine Deion. 
Course and Project Summary
This was a split course learning about the fundamentals of costume design and theatrical makeup. Students learned an array of techniques ranging from costume history to fantasy makeup application. For this assignment students had research a celebrity and create a transformative design, based off of their previous clothing patterns.

  1. As Hot as Ice and as Cold as The Sun
(Final Project)
Instructor: Dominique Fawn Hill
Institution: California State Los Angeles
Design Concept: To create a final a head to toe look using previous class techniques.
Project Summary
The students produced final looks after interpreting the theoretical Met Gala concept "As Hot as Ice and as Cold as the Sun". They were able to apply previous learning objectives such as sewing, fabrication-manipulation, costume rendering, and analytic research.
